How to Find and Install WordPress Themes

One of the most important parts of starting your blog is deciding how it will look. You may have a clear idea of ​​what you want your blog to look like, or you may just want to see some ideas about its potential look. Either way, WordPress makes it easy to make your blog look exactly the way you want with their easy-to-use Themes!

A WordPress theme is the easiest way to start designing your website with a template you really love. Read on to learn more about how to find and install a WordPress theme on your own blog.

To install a theme, first click on the “Appearance” tab on the left menu of your WordPress dashboard, then click “Themes”.

Next, you will need to click the “Add New” button at the top of the “Theme” page.

You have now reached the “Add Topic” page, where you can click through and see different themes.

If you are just looking for ideas, I recommend checking out the “Featured” and “Popular” tabs. However, if you have a clear idea of ​​what you want, I recommend using the “Feature Filters” tab.

This page allows you to bookmark the features you are looking for and create a list of themes that meet your specifications. Once you have found the theme you want to try, simply click the “Install” button.

Once you have the theme installed, you will find it on your main “Themes” page, and you can simply hit “Activate” to add it to your site.

If you have a custom or premium theme that you want to upload to your blog, the process is just as simple. At the top of the “Add Theme” page, click “Upload Theme” to go to the upload screen and add your own theme.

From there, you just need to upload the .zip file for the theme and click “Activate” to add the theme to your blog once you have it installed.
