Bible Verses About God Being With Us

Looking for scriptures about God being with us has helped me a lot in life. Many times in my walk with Jesus, I feel alone. At times, it seemed as if my prayers were bouncing down from the ceiling. I will ask the Lord where He is. During that time, it was hard to figure out what He was doing. However, what helped and opened my eyes was reading the promises in the Bible. Reading passages like these from the book of Romans reminds me that God is always with me.

“And we know that in all things God works for good to those who love Him, to those who have been called according to His purpose. For those whom God foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to His Son, so that He would become the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. And those whom He predestined, He also called; whom he calls, he also justifies; whom he justified, he also glorified. So what do we say in response to these? If God is for us, who can be against us? He did not spare His own Son, but gave Him up for all of us, why wouldn’t He give us everything with Him? Romans 8:28-32

I want to encourage you to take time today to ponder these verses and let them encourage you. My prayer and the prayers of the Glorify team is that you will trust that your heavenly Father loves you, and that you can go nowhere but His presence.

Psalm 139:7-18

He was planning this, when an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take your wife Mary home, for the child she conceived is from the power of the Holy Spirit. . . She will give birth to a son, and you must name him Jesus, for it is he who will save his people from their sins.” All of this happened to fulfill God’s word through the prophet: “The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call his name Immanuel” (meaning “God stay with us”).

By day the Lord directs His love, by night His song is with me—a prayer to the Lord of my life.

Psalm 42:8

When I’m in trouble, I call on the Lord; He took me into a spacious place. God is with me; I will not be afraid. What can mortals do to me? God is with me; He is my assistant. I look at victory over my enemies.

Psalm 118:5-7

Don’t you know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells among you?

1 Corinthians 3:16

“My prayers are not dedicated to them. I also pray for those who will believe in me through their message, that they may all be one, Father, just as You are in me and I in You. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you sent me. I have given them the glory that You have given me, so that they may be one as we are one—I am in them and You are in me—so that they may be fully united. Then the world will know that you sent me and loved them even though you loved me.

John 17:20-23

Dear friends, because God loves us, we must also love one another. No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, then God lives in us and His love is perfected in us. This is how we know that we live in Him and He dwells in us: He has given us His Spirit.
